WHAT IS SENSORY EQUIPMENT?

Sensory Equipment is specifically designed to stimulate one or more of the senses in order to help everything from brain development to social skills. Whilst sight, touch and sound are the three most common types of sensory play equipment, all manner of equipment can be beneficial if it can immerse its user in a new environment or stimulate even a memory. Taste or aroma equipment can be used to trigger a memory of a place or time prompting conversation in patients suffering with dementia.

As awareness continues to grow about the positive benefits of sensory therapy, more and more people are wanting quality equipment that will stand the test of time to help users develop their senses.
